The planned site is located at the foot of the Tateyama mountain range, in an area lined with old houses amidst a rural landscape.

The surrounding houses are gradually becoming dilapidated and the number of vacant houses is increasing, while new residential areas are being developed nearby, and the area is being updated into a standardized landscape that is no different from other suburban residential areas.

This project aims to ensure the functionality and performance of a home necessary for modern living, while also echoing the appearance of traditional houses.

We pursued a universal and standard way of living.

Using natural materials such as solid wood, plaster, and Japanese paper, and incorporating details that carpenters can easily install,

I strive for a modern and minimalist look.

We hope that this house will gain more character over time and one day become part of the landscape that brings back memories of nostalgia.
