A little strange idea
We are an architectural design firm based in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture.
The theme is "A little strange ideas"
It's about looking at the everyday things we take for granted and the conditions of the site from a slightly different angle.
We strive to find the "questions" that exist and derive special "answers (spaces)" that are unique to each project.
1. Discover the "hidden essence" of a place and conversation
We place great importance on gaining a deep understanding of the characteristics of the site where the building will be built and the individuality of our clients, and on engaging in repeated dialogue with them. This allows us to create a unique space that can only be created by that person in that location.
[Action]
-
We place importance on hearings and discussions prior to planning.
-
We use various dialogue tools such as questionnaires, interviews, and workshops to bring out uniqueness.
-
We interpret the characteristics of the land through a multifaceted site reading (site survey).

2. Value the space and its surroundings
We believe that creating a space is not simply about creating a "box." We also place importance on the elements surrounding the space, such as how people live there in the case of a home, how people work there in the case of an office, and the type of business and branding in the case of a commercial facility. We sometimes collaborate with various experts and actively work on these surrounding designs.
[Action]
-
Branding support and support
-
Coordination suggestions for furniture, accessories, etc.
-
Consulting on planning and management
3. Making Toyama's "everyday life" "special" to the world
The "everyday life of Toyama" that we take for granted, such as its abundant nature, traditional craftsmanship, and rich food culture, has a "special value" when viewed from the world's perspective. We re-edit the local nature, materials, and techniques with a modern sensibility and "slightly unusual ideas," and communicate the richness of Toyama to the world through architecture.
[Action]
-
We will re-edit and incorporate Toyama's craftsmanship and materials into the space.
-
We utilize the stock available in Toyama and infuse it with new value.
-
By disseminating information globally, we will convey the charm of "TOYAMA" to the world, along with its architectural perfection.
